Bytesize 1: Values Education

In the 1st NET Section Bytesize for the 2021/22 s.y. we would like to focus on Promoting Positive Values and Attitudes through English Sayings of Wisdom 2.0. The English Language Education Section and NET Section are in partnership to support schools through a wide range of Values Education (VE) activities and resources. The goals of the project are as follows:

provide multifarious VE-related learning experiences in the curriculum to broaden students’ perspective
provide different modes of professional development activities to enhance teachers’ grasp of the goals and objectives of different facets of VE and deepen their understanding of their professional role

Schools can:

identify VE-related focuses with reference to school context and student needs
integrate VE in the school-based English Language curriculum
plan holistically by connecting students’ learning in class to co-curricular activities, e.g. participating in the campaign events and competitions
identify good practices for sharing among schools
